| The babysitter looks after the children for an occasional, short term period of time while the parents are away. A Nanny looks after the child daily. Nanny’s job is to educate, support and nurture the special qualities of each growing child. Nanny truly loves her little charges and looks into the future needs of the child. Supporting the parents in their efforts to foster each child’s strengths, a nanny is a child’s advocate, teacher and friend. |
| What salary expectations can I expect as a Professional Nanny? |
| Each position is different and clients set the rates. At the current time most Nannies are accepting positions offering between $9-$15.00 per hour. Some receive benefits of health insurance, holiday pay and sick time. |

After reviewing your application, an American Nanny & Family Care referral specialist will ask to set up a personal interview with you. This will give us an opportunity to get to know you. If you have letters of recommendation it would be wonderful for you to bring copies for our files. Also telephone numbers of people whom you would like us to call for references would be helpful. |
| After references are checked we contact the clients that may be a good match for you. We will keep up with your interviewing and support you after you have that great position with a Family! |
