| As promised we have come to terms with the concept of the Household Managing Position. |
| |
| Many nannies have felt left out when their charges become of the school
age level. But, to the credit of the fast thinking parents who have come to depend on and respect their nanny
to the point of not wanting her to leave their lives, "The Household Manager was born". |
| |
| A household manager position is a great promotion to offer your nanny.
She has already proven her credibility in meeting your needs. The biggest asset of course is the
trust you and your children have already formed with the nanny. |
| |
| A household manager is put in charge of everything from scheduling
dentist visits to shopping for the family's needs - waiting for deliveries, repair personnel, etc. |
| |
| Even though cleaning is, in fact, the mainstay of the household
manager's job description, most have a college degree, training in early childhood education
and social work. In many regions the pay scale has jumped beyond that of nanny or teaching. |
| |
| Pay rates may differ by region and being a newer concept we are
excited to see what transpires. |
| |
| Think you can't afford a household manager? Call and find out,
as one mother put it "Cleaning house is not going to make me a better mom".
